This is one of the best movie festivals in the country.  Read it on Web Wombat here.  Every horror movie fan should attend this show at least once in your life.  A wonderful venue for a wonderful and scary festival.

Daredevil (Netflix)

Daredevil - Season 1 - TV-MA

It is absolute genius to put this story on Netflix.  I have seen this series twice and am looking at starting a third. completely spot on on all points.  Take a look at the  review on Web Wombat

The Skeleton Twins

The Warriors

Movies seen when you are young may not stand up to age and time. This is a movie that I loved when I was a kid, Not so much as an adult but I sympathies with what the film wanted to be so I couldn't actually give it a red. See what i wrote on Web Wombat.

This was a movie that was chosen for me. A reviewer friend of mine picked a movie at random.  I was impressed with the story and the way that the two cultures were highlighted. A movie I wouldn't have normally seen. Take a look at the Web Wombat review.

The Cobbler

The Cobbler  - 99min - PG13

Adam Sandler has a very specific skill set in his acting. When he has no one to mind him he tends to run his jokes into the ground.  His brouhaha about womanizing female actresses and also his issue with the Native Americans walking off his set. True Detective Season 1 (HBO)

True Detective Season 1

This series starts off with a bang, The concept is a great one every season is a new true crime story.  Its dark and depressing but so real in its story arc. The two heroes start as reluctant partners, then they are enemies, and turn out to be fiends, See my review on Web Wombat.  

Rosewater

Rosewater - 103min - R

Movies that are based on real life events are hard to to do with out taking too much creative license. As Jon Stewart was in a way partly involved in Maziar's incarceration it makes senses that he  makes a movie. See my review on Web Wombat. 

Jack Reacher

This is an excellent example of  how a few apple boxes and some good casting can make Tom cruse look like The Barrel chested tree of a man known as Jack Reacher.  See my review on Web Wombat
